Taiwan day 1**

Done with the photo processing. It has been a month since the trip and too much happening in between. Thus, ineffectiveness of posting. So here come Taiwan. I have been urging to go there since Airasia launch their route but my mummy will say, "Nothing to see there wan. Only eat eat eat" Friends say," So expensive, can go somewhere better d " *pokerface.jpg So, after so many years and thanks to thr the Astro TVBS channel that poisoned mummy. Finally, a trip to Taiwan! But.. She wanna join tour -_-. Think myself," Never mind, first time to Taiwan sign up tour never mind. Next time I will go on MY OWN!" So we signed up the package 7D6N at MATTA fair and when we sign up, we get RM50 Din Tai Fung cash voucher each. Can eat nice nice :D We signed that cheapest package. Therefore, the travel agency assigned us a rookie as our tour leader, who took 2 HOURS to check 14 person in.


This time, we take China Airlines. The plane is quite big and comfortable :D long forgotten how comfortable a flight can be since Airasia. And not to forget how a decent in flight meal can be~


Reached Taiwan after 5 hours flight and transferred directly to the hotel. Which claimed to be a 3 stars hotel, but it is quite rundown. Luckily we have two double bed room that make our stay not too bad compare to others.


Once place our luggage, we walk to hunt for food. One plus point of the hotel, it is just 2 mins walk to Ximending. :D


First thing we bought was the duck's tongue snack, famous Taiwanese snack. Chewy, nicely marinated but no meat. -.-


we never know how to appreciate this food. Then, we had the seafood soup, which we ordered the mixed one and surprisingly it it quite good!


That yellow color thing is fish cracker. We look and bought few packs from DanSui. Another thing we so look forward to eat in Taiwan is RICE. But it is not normal rice~ It is called Lu Ruo Fan. Basically is rice with minced meat :D


Simple but tasty. I can eat this bowl only for main course alone without any other meal. We also tried the O Jien "fried oyster with egg"


But we agreed that the Kuala Sepetang one taste better! After dinner, we walked around a while because it was already late and every shops was preparing to close for the day. However, I still managed to bought a coat :p There's a three story Starbucks there.


Just right above the Seven. I think this Starbucks branch must be not very high in volume as Seven is selling their City coffee at 50% of Starbucks's price and if you get second cup, there's 50% off, which make it about 70% off an ordinary cup of Starbucks coffee.


Honestly, XiMEnDing is not as what I've expected. I thought it should be full or people and shops.. Like Shinjuku of Japan but in reality, it's not. But we do enjoy shopping at Seven. There's lot of funny drinks and snack.


We bought a nicely bottled iced milk tea and for my bro, he bought Famous Grouse alcoholic drink which taste like Dettol for me >.< After the last shop of XiMenDing close, we went for our supper at a restaurant opposite the hotel.


Wantan noodle soup. We suppose to order the dried version, but because of communication problem, we got the soup one -.- This is the first day of the trip. Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
